Unique Eye care Hospital has a special discipline in ophthalmology that deals with plastic and reconstructive surgery of the periorbital and facial tissues which include the eyelids, orbit and lacrimal system. Our scope of service includes management of abnormal eyelid position (entropion, ptosis ), removal of eyelid tumors, lid reconstruction, lacrimal surgery, medical and surgical management of thyroid eye disease, orbitotomy ,repair of orbital fractures as well as rehabilitation of anophthalmic socket with orbital implants.
The expanding and extended scope of ophthalmic plastic surgery will no longer be limited to lid surgery only. An ophthalmic plastic surgeon has to deal with periorbital and facial reconstruction aesthetically because of the principles in anatomical lid/face continuum.
